Thank you for this tool. Here are some observations.
- In Windows Server 2008 R2, for SP 2013, I needed a newer version of PowerShell to avoid an error ‘A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name ‘File’ – ref:
- Trouble running Get-Help .\AutoSPSourceBuilder.ps1 –Full - Make sure the script is not blocked – look in the file properties and unblock if needed. Also try running
Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted .
- UpdateLocation - It was unclear to me but you want to download your updates to a different folder than the slipstream folder. e.g. Updates are downloaded to D:\SP2013\SP\2013\Updates folder and automatically extracted to D:\SP2013\SP\2013\Sharepoint\Updates
(for slipstream processing).
.\AutoSPSourceBuilder.ps1 -SourceLocation E: -Destination D:\SP2013\SP\2013 -UpdateLocation D:\SP2013\SP\2013\Updates -GetPrerequisites $true -CumulativeUpdate "April 2014"
- In April 2014 CU, each file extracted has a hotfix.txt file - the process pauses asking whether to replace the file or not - meaning you can't leave it unattended. It would be nice if this pause could be eliminated.
